Hunchback of Notre Dame – Saturday April 29, 7:30 PM

Organist Peter Edwin Krasinski is known for his improvised accompaniments to silent films. His presentation of the 1923 legendary silent film The Hunchback of Notre Dame starring Lon Chaney is the fifth Family Silent Film to be presented at the Stone Church Cultural Center. It will be shown on a movie-theater sized screen with live accompaniment on our historic 1874 Johnson organ.

Krasinski’s unique performances take the audience on a captivating journey through ‘vintage video.’ To achieve such artistic integration, he memorizes each film. His spontaneous performances seamlessly reflect characters’ actions and states of mind, bringing century-old productions to life with relevance and compassion. In recognition of his talent and creativity, he received the First Prize in Improvisation from the American Guild of Organists National Competition.

Tickets are $20, capped at $60 per family at the box office. Youth under 18 will be admitted at no charge.
