She plays regularly as a soloist and as a member of professional chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras, including the Worcester Festival Orchestra (Massachusetts) Roanoke Symphony Orchestra (Virginia) and Chamber Orchestra “Carpe Diem” (Spain).
Sima Kustanovich is one of the Northeast’s most sought-after pianists, hailed by the Worcester Telegram and Gazette for the ‘extraordinary intensity and brilliance of her playing.’ In 1990 she received a rare invitation to perform on Steinway & Son’s 500,000th piano that toured the US. She has built her lasting international reputation based on her mastery of keyboard repertoire, and is equally at home as a soloist or a chamber musician, collaborating with such ensembles as the Borodin String Quartet. In this concert, Ms. Kustanovich will play a vintage Steinway piano recently donated to the Stone Church by the family of Donald Boothman.
