Friends of the Stone Church (FOSC) and the East Quabbin Artist Alliance held the Second Annual Arts Festival on Saturday September 22 from 10 am to 5 pm, at the Stone Church (Trinitarian Congregational Church), 283 Main Street, Gilbertville. The festival will feature exhibits of adult and youth art, including drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, mono prints and pastels. Prizes will be awarded for works by children. Craft artists, arts and community organizations will offer their works and information. Batch Ice Cream and the Tri-Parish Community Church are providing food and drink. Artists will demonstrate painting techniques and offer art projects for children. Musicians “Shindig,” Todd Perry, Ryan Witkos, and William Zinni will entertain during the day. The Festival is free to the public. Proceeds from art sales benefit Friends of the Stone Church, a non-profit organization founded to preserve the Stone Church building and engage the community in using it.
